BUTTE - Butte Silver Bow Health Department officials are waiting on the test results of 22 high school students regarding exposure to whooping cough.
There has been just one confirmed case of the illness in a Butte High student so far, but it's estimated that 22 people have come into contact with the student.
Those classmates have been tested and are currently on antibiotics as a precaution. The health department is also researching more possible contacts with pertussis.
