MISSOULA- Three people were hurt in a four-vehicle crash between Lolo and Missoula that stopped traffic for about 15 minutes Sunday afternoon.
Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Paul Pfau says that at about 12:45 p.m. a dog ran across the road in the southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 93 South near Hayes Creek Road.
Traffic in the right hand lane stopped and a gold SUV in the left hand lane was also stopped for the animal, but a white Toyota rear-ended the SUV and three occupants of the Toyota were taken to the hospital. The 19-year-old male driver was released Sunday afternoon and his two passengers, also 19-year-old men remain hospitalized, but Trooper Pfau said both men seemed to be doing well.
A pickup truck stopped for the accident and was also hit by a slow-moving blue sedan, but there were no injuries reported in that crash.
