BUTTE- A house hunting trip in Anaconda turned into a terrifying trip for a mother and her three children on Friday.

The Butte Police Department reports that George Allen Fode faces several felony charges including one for his seventh DUI.

On Friday evening, Fode reportedly got into an argument with his wife after they finished house hunting in Anaconda.

He allegedly began driving erratically, swerving on the interstate toward Butte at more than 90 miles per hour.

His wife reportedly pleaded with him to stop. Two 9-year-old children and a one-year-old child were also in the vehicle.

Fode swerved onto the Frontage Road and when he stopped in a driveway on Bossard Road near the Fairmont interchange, his wife and the two 9-year-old children got out of the vehicle.

When his wife attempted to take her one-year-old child out of the car seat, Fode reportedly drove away before she could reach him.

Officers found Fode at his home where he took a breathalyzer and reportedly blew a .138 BAC.

Fode faces several felony charges, including a felony DUI for his seventh charge, a habitual offender felony, a felony charge for four counts of criminal endangerment, a misdemeanor for driving with a revoked/suspended license and a misdemeanor for partner family member assault (reasonable apprehension).

No injuries were reported.
