MISSOULA - Local economists say they are seeing an improvement in the housing market, after home prices peaked in 2008 and then started to drop.
Researchers say those prices dropped by about 10% in three years, but about a year ago they started to see improvements.
Some realtors say sales are up and there's more competition among buyers, which is good news for sellers.
"Some of these buyers have lost out on houses from someone coming in a little quicker and they're sick of that, so that's another good sign," explained Lambros realtor Cole Bergquist.
Reporter Irina Cates goes on Special Assignment during Tuesday's 10:00 News to take a look at home sales, and if now is a good time to buy.
