MISSOULA- An accused drunk driver is facing multiple felony charges for driving the wrong way on Interstate 90 and causing a crash.

Wallace Franklin Johnson, of California, is facing a misdemeanor DUI and six felony criminal endangerment charges.

Posecutors say Johnson was driving east in the westbound lanes of I-90 on Tuesday, adding that the first person called in after almost getting hit by Johnson near mile marker in Mineral County near mile marker 77. Another witness called in reporting almost getting into a head-on crash with Johnson.

Prosecutors say Johnson crashed into a car near Turah, and he and the four people in the other car were all taken to the hospital. Investigators say Johnson admitted drinking before getting behind the wheel. The judge set his bail at $100,000.
