ALBERTON- There was a little bit of history, a lot of community spirit and plenty of fun on Saturday in Alberton with Mineral County residents turning out in full force for the 27th annual Railroad Day.
The event started early with a pancake breakfast and a 2K fun run and if pancakes, but the centerpiece of Railroad Day was the parade which goes from one end of town to the other and then doubles back.
This is a tradition to celebrate the history of the railroad through Mineral County, and it all ended on Saturday night at the community center.
