Alcohol factor in Stevensville serious injury crash

STEVENSVILLE- Authorities say that alcohol was a factor in an early Saturday morning crash that seriously injured one woman.

Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Scott Bennett said a male driver and his passenger were heading east on Airport Road near Stevensville when the man missed a curve in the road around 2 a.m.

The vehicle went off an embankment and rolled afew times. Bennett said the woman was not wearing her seatbelt and was ejected and the driver was partially ejected.

The passenger was flown to St. Patrick Hospital with multiple spinal fractures.

Trooper Bennett said the crash remains under investigation, and charges against the driver are pending.
