ANACONDA - An Anaconda woman followed her dreams to the bright lights of Vegas and her talents have paid off to land her a spot in the current Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.
Meagen Hensley is a 1999 Anaconda High School graduate who took her talents in dance to Las Vegas, where she stars in a popular show called the Sirens of T.I., which takes place in front of Treasure Island.
Hensley auditioned for Sports Illustrated last year and landed a spot on their website.
She didn't know she made the magazine until the day it hit news stands earlier this month.
Hensley says the support from family and friends has been with her since her dancing days in Anaconda.
"I was shocked and excited. I mean I feel like I've had a great career and that just adds to it. I don't know how many people can say they've been in Sports Illustrated Swim Suit Edition. I surely didn't think I would ever get into it. It was kind of fun and exciting," says Hensley.
She adds that some friends and family back home in Anaconda have bought the magazine and are waiting in line for an autograph.
