KALISPELL - The Flathead Avalanche Center reports that the avalanche hazard is rated as now "considerable" in the backcountry of Northwest Montana, and that human triggered avalanches are likely.
The Center reports that avalanche conditions still exist, and that "careful snow pack evaluation, cautious route finding, and conservative decision making remain essential."
