WASHINGTON, DC - Senator Max Baucus (D-MT) announced he is appointing a new chief of staff on Friday.
Baucus said Paul Wilkins will take over for Jon Selib who is pursuing a new opportunity in the private sector.
Wilkins has served in Baucus' Washington office since 2005, most recently as Legislative Director.
Wilkins is a fifth-generation Montanan who grew up on a sheep ranch outside of Melstone, Montana. Wilkins graduated from Melstone High School and earned a B.A. in Political Science from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington.
Wilkins first began his career in Baucus' office through the Miles Fellowship program Baucus established in 2000.
Replacing Wilkins as Legislative Director is Heather O'Loughlin.
O'Loughlin was born and raised in Great Falls, graduated from Great Falls High School and earned her B.A. in Economics from the University of Montana. She earned her J.D. from University of Montana School of Law.
