WASHINGTON, DC - Montana U.S. senators Max Baucus and Jon Tester welcomed Representative-elect Steve Daines to their weekly coffee with Montanans in Washington on Wednesday.
"Too often, the deck is stacked against rural states like Montana in Washington, so it's all the more important that we work together to fight for what's right for Montana," Baucus said.
"Jon and I have been able to accomplish a lot a great things by working together, and we're excited to welcome Steve to the team," said Baucus.
"Washington needs more folks willing to work across party lines, and I look forward to teaming up with Steve to make responsible decisions for Montana," Tester said.
"Steve and I have had some good conversations about the best ways to put Montana priorities first, and I will keep working with Steve and Max to create jobs, cut our debt and support Montana's small businesses," said Tester.
Daines welcomed the opportunity to sit down with the states two U.S. Senators.
"It's crucial that we work together to serve the people and represent the interests of our state," Daines said.
Baucus and Tester hold a weekly breakfast with Montanans in Washington every Wednesday that the U.S. Senate is in session.
