BILLINGS- A quick attack by Billings firefighters late Wednesday morning put out a house fire in mid-town Billings.
Fire crews were called to the residence at 409 Cook Avenue shortly before 11 a.m. Wednesday and upon arrival, engine crews found a small single-level home next to the alley with smoke pouring out of the chimney.
The engine crew from Station 4 quickly attacked the blaze, which was put out in less than ten minutes.
The resident of the home was outside when the fire began. He was able to rescue his two small dogs before the firefighters arrived.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and is being investigated by the Billings Fire Department.
