HELENA - State officials have announced that Black Sandy State Park and the campground at Lake Mary Ronan State Park are now closed so that work can begin on some construction projects.
Electrical pedestals will be installed at both campgrounds. In addition, road resurfacing work will be done at Black Sandy. Both projects are expected to last until early November.
Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks says the improvements are being made possible thanks to federal funds earmarked to enhance sites used by motorboat users and sport fishermen.
"We appreciate everyone's cooperation during these construction projects. We are reinvesting these federal dollars into two popular state parks and we think the improvements will be well received," said Chas Van Genderen, State Parks Administrator.
