Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation taps new chief

HUNGRY HORSE- The Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation has annouced that Carol Treadwell will be its new Executive Director.

Treadwell comes to the organization after four years of not-for-profit leadership experience as Executive Director of the Ausable River Association located in the Adirondack Mountains of northern New York.

"I'm honored to be offered the opportunity to lead an organization that does such important work," says Treadwell. "I'm impressed by the quality of the Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation and its wilderness values and I'm looking forward to being a part of important decisions made by such an impressive organization."

Treadwell will be based in the BMWF office in Hungry Horse and her responsibilities include fundraising, management of BMWF employees and projects, budgets, board management and is the overall public spokesperson and face of the foundation.

The Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation provides access to and stewardship to the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex. The Foundation also helps hundreds of hard-working volunteers, including youth give back to the wilderness by opening trails, restoring heavily used areas, maintaining historic structures, and fighting weeds, according to a news release.
