RONAN- Lake County law enforcement evacuated Ronan High School Thursday morning after a person called the Ronan Schools Superintendent's office to report that there was a bomb at the school.
Lake County Sheriff's Department Public Information Officer Karen Sargeant says dispatchers received a call from the school's resource officer at around 10:30 a.m., reporting someone called in saying there was a bomb at the high school.
Sargeant says that high school staff members immediately used their "Emergency Operation Plan" to evacuate the high school. Meanwhile, both the elementary and middle school were locked down as a precaution.

Six Lake county sheriff's deputies, two CSKT Tribal police officers, one Ronan police officer and Ronan fire all responded to the high school. Sheriff's deputies and staff members searched the high school room-by-room and also checked each locker before allowing the students to return to class.
Sargeant says they did not find any bomb at the school and adds that the response by law enforcement and staff was a success. She said it was a perfect example how the Emergency Operation Plan should be implemented.
The investigation into Thursday's incident is still underway.
