LOST PRARIE - 43 years and still going strong, or still diving, depending on how you look at it; it's the annual Boogie Week at Skydive Lost Prairie.

Leslie Speranza, made very first jump out of a plane, all part of the Boogie Week, one of the largest skydiving events in the world.

Director Fred Sand says daredevils come from all over the world, but they also cater to beginners like Leslie.

"With just a short training session with their instructor, we can take them up to 13,000 feet, for almost a minute of free-falling and a four to five minute canopy flight," explained Fred Sand the director of the event.

Hundreds of experienced skydivers come to the event each year and Sand says there are around 300 pros from all over the world here this year.

He also says the event keeps growing, for the same reason that he still jumps.

"It's very addicting and when I was going to community college, my room mate came home and said or asked if I wanted to join him in his weekend adventure of skydiving and I thought about it and said OK. I'll do it, and that was 39 years ago, and 8600 jumps ago," explains Sand.

While Leslie Speranza only has one jump under her belt right now, she may already be addicted.

"I never thought I could jump out of a plane, like I never thought I could do that. But you don't even think about, you just do it," adds Speranza.

The event lasts until August 2nd.
