BUTTE - A cluster of pertussis tests from Butte High School have come back negative, and that has Butte-Silver Bow Health Department officials crossing their fingers that this could be the last of the illness.

The test results from the last five students who were tested for pertussis all came back negative. There were 29 classmates who were potential contacts with the last student to be confirmed to have the illness.

Two Butte High School students were confirmed to have pertussis so far, and the eight students who were tested last week had their results all came back negative.
