HIGHWOOD- In the next few months, the best high school seniors in the state will get a few more chances to suit up for all-star football games before college. The action starts on some smaller-than-average football fields this weekend.

The 32 best players in the 6-man ranks are gathering in Highwood for a Class C game Saturday. After spending seasons trying to beat each other, now they're on the same team. But last fall's winners are still letting the losers hear about it.

Denton won the 6-man Class C title in 2011, 72-30 against Savage.
"They're giving us a lot of grief from it," said Denton High School fullback Cole Jelinek. "But I mean, we can take it. Cause I mean, they would brag too if they were the two-time defending champs."

Fromberg High School quarterback Jaymin Paugh said of Denton, "They definitely were the best team the last two years, and probably the year before that. And I think they need more crap than they've been
getting."

The wide-open 6-man game will start scoring at 7:00 Saturday night in Highwood. At the same time, the annual Bob Cleverly Classic brings the best 8-man players together in Butte.
