2 taken to hospital with serious injuries after Hwy 93 crash

HAMILTON- According to Ravalli County Sherriff Chris Hoffman two men have been taken to the hospital with severe injuries following a serious accident that closed all four lanes U.S. Highway 93 South around 7:00 p.m. Wednesday night.

Hoffman says the men are currently in stable condition and that all lanes are now open.

All four lanes on U.S. Highway 93 South remain closed north of the Woodside cutoff due to a serious accident near the intersection of Meridian Road.

The Montana Highway Patrol was called to the scene just before 7 p.m. and officials told a witness that they expect the road to remain closed to traffic until at least 9 p.m.

It appears that at least two vehicle were involved in the wreck with one off the road in the area.

Traffic is being detoured in the area.
