MISSOULA- The Missoula Fire Department is looking into the cause of a blaze that broke out early Saturday morning at a home on South Seventh Street West.
The blaze was reported just after 2:30 a.m. and three engines along with a ladder truck responded to the call with fire officials reporting that smoke and flames were showing from the basement when crews arrived at the scene.
The owner of the single family home made it out before emergency crews arrived and fire officials say nobody else was home when the blaze broke out. Firefighters were about to quickly gain control of the fire and prevent it from spreading to upstairs living areas.
Fire investigators are now trying to determine how the fire started and the amount of damage done to the home isn't known at this time.
