MISSOULA - Congressman Steve Daines spent the day in Missoula on Tuesday to talk about economic development, making stops at Blue Marble Biomaterials, the Bonner mill development site, and Consumer Direct Montana.
Daines says that as someone who's spent 28 years creating jobs, he wants to make sure he stays in touch with local small business owners who are on the front lines creating jobs.
"Everywhere we go, they're looking at how [to] create more jobs, particularly in Western Montana. These are good, high paying, clean jobs that we've got. Entrepreneurs [are] out there working hard. The good news is they're taking applications for employment right now," Daines commented.
He also met with Missoula Economic Partnership CEO James Grunke on Tuesday to discuss other economic development activity taking place in the Missoula area.
