The first thing you should know about Dax is that he's Montana born and raised. Born in Great Falls in the 1970's, his family later moved him to the far-east, or Miles City Montana.

Graduating from Custer County High School in 1996, Dax headed off for the Navy aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and two trips to the Middle East. After five years as a sailor, Dax knew that at the end of the day he would hang his hat in Montana.

After attending the University of Montana in Missoula, and hosting his own sports talk show on KGBA radio Dax took the NBC news anchor job at KCFW-TV in Kalispell.

He immediately fell in love with the Flathead and now calls it home. After three years in TV, he ventured back into radio and has worked the last several years at KOFI/KZMN radio in Kalispell.

When the tremendous opportunity to join Montana's News Station surfaced, he jumped at the chance. You can now see him on your local Flathead 5:30 and 10 pm news and you can still catch him on the radio.

On the weekends you can find him boating, fly fishing, camping, cheering for the Griz, Broncos and Minnesota Twins. And always in tow is his faithful hound dog Roscoe P. Coaltrain.
