PHILIPSBURG - Saturday marked opening day for the Discovery Ski Area near Philipsburg with the front side ready to go, and discounted tickets offered up.

The hill has seen some changes, with the mountain's easy chair on the front side, and the Limelight Chair lift on the backside getting some improvements.

Discovery will be open on the weekends through December 15th, and then it will be open seven days a week for the rest of the season.
