EVERGREEN- A Flathead Valley man is sitting behind bars after crashing his car into an Evergreen home.

Flathead County dispatchers say that at around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday a 54-year-old man was reportedly driving drunk when he lost control of his car and drove into a house on the corner of Helena Flats road and Cynthia Drive.

The Montana Highway Patrol and the Evergreen Fire Department responded to the scene and the man was later arrested.

There were no injuries reported in the crash although officials say the home suffered about $40,000 in damages.
