MISSOULA- A Missoula County jail inmate is now facing a felony assault charge for attacking and beating another inmate.

Authorities say the incident happened on Sunday evening when Autumn Makes Cold Weather and the victim got into a fight over a rumor going around the jail.

The Missoula County Sheriff's Office says the two were out of their cells when the altercation began with investigators saying Makes Cold Weather attacked the woman from behind and tried pushing the victim down the stairs, but two other inmates stopped her.

Makes Cold Weather ended up slamming the victim's head into the concrete wall, breaking off one of the victim's teeth. The victim also suffered several other injuries and had to go to the hospital for treatment.
