MISSOULA- Thousands of people had fireworks fun on the Fourth of July, but the celebrations mean a lot of work for people Thursday morning.
At the most popular public locations for people to set off their fireworks, July 5th is all about cleanup, as workers have to sort through piles of debris.
Dennis Bragg headed out early Thursday morning to one of the parking lots near Fort Missoula where the cleanup will be the first order of work .
Some fireworks fanatics couldn't wait until sundown to start shooting off sparks and lit off anything that snapped, crackled and popped -- and shimmered whizzed and flew.
One popular place is off South Avenue west of town. It's right on the county line, and since fireworks are illegal in the city, families flock to the spot every year.
They told us they were saving the bigger fireworks for dark, so on Wednesday evening we saw a lot of sparklers, smoke and snappers, as well as lots of kids.
