WHITEFISH- It's only the very beginning of October and already we've gotten our first taste of the white stuff.
While it means we might need to start thinking about getting winter tires on our cars soon, skiers and snowboarders are getting ready to head up into the mountains.
Big Mountain got a fair bit of snow during Tuesday night and it has lots of people excited for the December 8th opening day.
Whitefish Mountain Resort Public Relations Manager Riley Polumbus said it's too early to say what the ski season will look like, but it's a good start.
"You wake up and you hope that this is what you're going to see and you look up there and there's the snow and you know that ‘'here it comes another ski season'' and it gets people really excited," she said.
