BUTTE - Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks officials are planning a project to encourage more fish in the lower quarter of the Big Hole River.
The Big Hole Watershed Committee and FWP has been studying the three miles of the river upstream from High Road Bridge, where they say lower water levels lead to smaller numbers of rainbow and brown trout.
This week the Big Hole Watershed Committee and FWP biologist Jim Olsen will review the Big Hole River project at a Wednesday meeting at the Divide Grange.
