DAYTON- What started out as a lazy Sunday morning turned into a photo frenzy for one Arlee woman as she watched a black bear climb into an osprey nest on Flathead Lake.
Amanda Adams snapped the above photo of a two to three year old black bear making its way up a tall tree and into an osprey nest, which she believes had several young chicks inside. Adams says a pack of adult osprey cried out as the bear was in the nest.
She says she's seen plenty of black bears on her family's orchard, but seeing a bear in an osprey nest is a first.
"We were just with my family today, enjoying the nice weather and lo and behold, we got a phone call and ran over and here's this bear up in the tree next to our other place. Som totally unexpected."
Adams says the bear lingered in the nest for quite some time.
