KALISPELL - Health officials say that some more cases of pertussis are reported in Flathead County, with the latest turning up at Glacier High School.
The Flathead City-County Health Department reports there are now 31 cases of pertussis in Flathead County, including at Glacier High School and in the entire Bigfork school system.
Officials say it's hard to say why pertussis had made a comeback, but add that both the Kalispell and Bigfork school districts have handled the situation admirably.
The local health department cautions that adults and children who are not vaccinated have increased the spread of whooping cough.
