KALISPELL - Tuesday night's temperatures were freezing and that means the local homeless shelter needs to make preparations.

The Samaritan House in Kalispell is used to dealing with the influx of homeless people, but they still need help. They shelter needs more donations of winter clothes, including mittens, gloves and winter boots.

Employees are already preparing for winter as the colder temperatures are approaching.

"The biggest challenge is just to make sure that we're doing everything we can do to try to get people in when it gets cold at night. It would be very difficult on a night like last night to be outside all night so we just try to take that seriously and get people in," said Samaritan House Director Chris Krager.

Donations of winter items can be made at the Samaritan House in Kalispell.
