MISSOULA- A north to south oriented cold front will bring an increase in clouds and gusty winds this evening.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the Mission and Flathead valleys, and the rest of Northwest Montana from 9 p.m. Wednesday through noon on Thursday. The wind advisory is in effect for the Missoula and Bitterroot valleys from midnight until noon on Thursday.
The front is relatively dry, though there is a chance for a brief period of showers in the Flathead valley and along the divide tonight through early tomorrow.
As our sky becomes clear on Thursday morning, a north to northwest upper level wind will mean most valleys will see very little if any smoke. Thursday highs will climb into the lower to middle 70s under a sunny sky.
Friday will be sunny and very nice with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s. The weekend will bring sunny and warm weather.
