NEW YORK CITY - Former President Bill Clinton is in the hospital following heart surgery. Clinton is said to be feeling fine and is resting comfortably at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York after undergoing a heart procedure.

Clinton was admitted to the hospital after feeling discomfort in his chest and a statement from Clinton's office says he underwent a procedure to place two stents in one of his corony arteries, .and that he's in good spirits.

Clinton saw his heart surgeon, Doctor Craig Smith, the same surgeon who performed quadruple bypass surgery on the former President 5 ½ years ago. His wife, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, is reportedly on the way to the  hospital from Washington.

Clinton is 63 years old, and has been keeping a full schedule. Late last month, Clinton attended the World Economic Forum in Switzerland where he encouraged big businesses to support Haiti's reconstruction after the earthquake.

Clinton has been helping with the relief efforts in Haiti and recently returned from a trip there with his daughter. The former President is the United Nation's special envoy for Haiti.

Mr. Clinton is said to be in good spirits, and is looking forward to getting back to work.
