MISSOULA - Today's youth often struggle with identity, fear of failure, bullying and a need for a strong personal character. This weekend a youth leadership event will be held with the hoprs of helping them learn how to deal with just that.
Doctor John Maxwell is an internationally recognized leadership expert, speaker, coach, and author who has sold over 20 million books. One of the certified John Maxwell Team speakers and the Missoula County Sheriff's Office will give presentations that will help youth with the challenges they face today coming up on Saturday.
"I'll be providing them some information about how to be a leader online, like on Facebook, and social medial, and things like that. How to avoid and even stand up against bullying when it's done through those avenues," Missoula County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Jason Johnson explained.
The presentations are open to youth ages 14 to 18 and to any youth organization or school group. The free event will be held on Saturday at the SHEC church on North Avenue from 10am to 12:30pm.
