The continuing winter weather has prompted school officials to call of Friday classes at all Missoula County Public Schools. All Friday school activities are also cancelled with MCPS saying the decision to close school Friday is due to severe weather and hazardous road conditions.
MCPS anticipates elementary and middle schools will open on Monday at the normal time.The high schools will be off on Monday, due to a previously scheduled day off, and will return to class on Tuesday.
Charlo schools, Hellgate Elementary School in Missoula, Bonner School, Clinton School, Loyola in Missoula, Potomac School, Seeley Lake Elementary School and Seeley Lake High School, St. Joseph in Missoula as well as Target Range School will be closed Friday. Kinderhaus Montessori School in the Meadows and Missoula International School are also canceling school on Friday.
Charlo has also announced that the high school basketball games slated for tonight have been moved to tomorrow due to the weather.
Corvallis schools are starting two hours late, Darby Schools are delaying the start of class by two hours and Frenchtown schools are also delayed by two hours Friday with a start time is 10:20. Busses will be running two hours late. Hamilton schools will have a two-hour delay with classes and buses being delayed two hours. Stevensville schools will open at 10:30 a.m. with buses running two hours late.
The CSKT Tribal offices will not open until 9 a.m. Thursday due to road conditions. Meanwhile the Missoula Senior Center is closed for the day as is Missoula Early Head Start.
The Osher Lifelong Institute at The University of Montana (MOLLI) has canceled all classes scheduled for Thursday and Friday with classes set to resume next week. For more information call the MOLLI office at (406) 243.2905.

The Museum at Fort Missoula has announced that they will be closed down through the weekend due to the bad weather.
