BIGFORK- An organization that provides a four-year, full-ride, scholarship to children of fallen Montana soldiers is raising money through exercise.

Grateful Nation Montana provides tutoring, mentoring and scholarships for children of 42 Montana soldiers who were killed in Iraq and Afghanistan and on Wednesday, runners and walkers traced the swan river to compete in the 2nd annual Grateful Nation Freedom 5K run.

The amount of competitors has doubled since the event started last year. "The more people hear about it, and the more people from last year come again and tell their friends and their neighbors. It's really been quite overwhelming that we've had such an incredible turn out already this year," Grateful Nation Montana co-founder David Bell said.

He added that another race is already being planned for July 4th next year.
