MISSOULA- A University of Montana football player, who was once accused of DUI pleaded "no contest" to a lesser charge on Wednesday.
Brian Maus was charged in February after investigators say he drove off the road, rolled his pickup truck and nearly hit a nearby home on Hillview Way.
Police say when officers arrived on the scene, Maus' pickup was on its roof, appeared intoxicated and gave them a fake name.
Maus' DUI was pled down to negligent endangerment, to which he pleaded "no contest." He also pleaded "no contest" to refusing a breath test, MIP and for providing false identification.
The judge ordered him to pay a fine, attend counseling classes and to perform 40 hours of community service in the Missoula County Public Schools.
