Griz Garden City Glam Jam coming to UM

MISSOULA - There's some big happenings coming to the University of Montana this weekend.

The University of Montana Cheer Squad is hosting the Griz Garden City Glam Jam cheerleading competition on Saturday and Sunday in Dahlberg Arena.

The annual event brings in over 300 athletes and coaches to Missoula.

The Griz Garden City Glam Jam is in its sixth year and is one of the largest cheer competitions in Montana, with teams traveling from many cities, including: Great Falls, Big Fork, Havre, Helena, Kalispell and Missoula.

The high school competition begins at 6 p.m. on Saturday in the West Auxiliary Gym of the Adams Center, and the All-Star competition begins at 9 a.m. on Sunday.

The competition is open to the public with a $5 general admission ticket. Admission for senior citizens, military personnel w/ID and children age 6-17 is only $3 and children 5 and under get in free. Parking and re-entry are also free.

Proceeds from the Griz Garden City Glam Jam benefit the UM Cheer Squad, who will also be competing at the event along with exhibitions from Unparalleled Movement, the UM Dance Team and Monte.
