CHENEY, WA- The Grizzly men battled the Eagles Thursday night.

They already beat EWU by eight points in December, but they wanted some revenge for their last trip to Cheney, when the Eagles took down the Griz in overtime in the last game the year preventing Wayne Tinkle's club from winning a Big Sky regular season title.

Montana is out to a 6-1 start in Big Sky Conference Play and EWU is dangerous, but only own a 3-4 mark.

The Grizzlies led 40-27 at the half, but Eastern rallied after the break with a Collin Chiverton hoop brining the Eagles within five, part of his game-high 22 points.

EWU got even closer thanks to a feed inside to Laron Griffin who got the hoop and the Eagles were suddenly within one point, but they didn't get any closer.

Montana turned to Art Steward who got a pair in the paint and push the lead back to eight points, part of his team-high 19 on the game.

Kareen Jamar was also a key Griz player on Thursday night, scoring 10 of his 15 points in the second half as Montana pulled away to finish off a season sweep of the Eagles by a final score of 74-60.
