MISSOULA - One color will stand out in Washington-Grizzly Stadium this weekend more than maroon and silver.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Idaho State game will see a few changes to honor everyone who has been affected by the disease, and all progress toward putting an end to it.
The stadium will be filled with pink signs and players will wear the breast cancer survival logo on their helmets this Saturday.
In addition, cheerleaders will use pink poms poms and fans will be encouraged to show their support in pink as well. Griz Head Coach Robin Pflugrad says it's a cause the Grizzlies will be happy to support.
"It's important that we do these things," he said Tuesday. "I think every one of us knows someone that has been affected by that and, you know, we're here to help carry the torch and be responsible and help out for a great cause."
Montana kicks off with Idaho State, which is winless aside for a Week One victory over NAIA school Montana-Western, at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
