The H1N1 virus seems to be dying out in Northwest Montana, but health experts say it's far from gone.

"If you haven't had the disease and you haven't been vaccinated, then it's most likely that you may end up getting the disease at some point because there is a lot of that virus in our environment" explained Flathead City-County Health Department Director Joe Russell. "Most experts say that H1N1 novel will actually become one of our seasonal strains in the years to come."

While Flathead County doesn't have any diagnosed cases of H1N1 right now, Russell says there will probably be another outbreak this spring.

The department isn't holding any more special clinics, but there's still plenty of vaccine so the department says you can come get a shot if they haven't done so.

The department is currently performing about 100 vaccinations a week.
