MISSOULA - Missoula County search and rescue crews have been searching for a lost hunter since late Sunday night.
The call came into the Missoula County Sheriff's Office on Sunday evening, and crews have been out searching in the Wallace Creek area since 11:30 p.m.
Authorities say that a 27-year-old Missoula man had gone hunting with three other men, but when they were supposed to meet up - he couldn't be found.
Officials tell us conditions in the area are making the search more difficult as searchers deal with cold temperatures, snow and icy roads.
Search crews also received a call Sunday evening just after dark from a concerned mom who told the Sheriff's Office her husband and two 11 year olds were out cross country skiing near Lolo Pass and hadn't returned home yet.
But when crews arrived on the scene, the three skiers had found their way out and were safe - telling authorities they had simply gotten turned around in the back country.
