BISMARCK, ND - The man who shot at an Idaho state trooper before kidnapping a woman and taking her all the way to Glendive is going to face additional charges for more crimes in North Dakota.
Mitchell Lee Walck, 57, was arrested Wednesday after he threatened a trucker with a gun in Bismarck.
A week ago, Walck's crime spree began in Northern Idaho, where he took off from a traffic stop. He shot at the trooper during the pursuit and then holed up in a Rathdrum house. He kidnapped an elderly woman and headed east, eventually releasing her in Glendive.
Walck showed up in Bismarck when he climbed into the sleeper cab of a semi, threatening the driver with a gun. He ran off, but was followed by a citizen who helped police find Walck hiding under a tree.
The Bismarck Tribune reports Walck appeared in court Thursday and was charged with terrorizing, unlawful entry o the truck, possession of stolen property and being a felon with a gun.
Walck's last known address was Thompson Falls. He'd been in trouble before, serving prison time for a standoff with Powell County deputies in 2001.
