ID released of Pryor woman killed in rollover crash

NEAR EDGAR - A Pryor woman killed in a single-vehicle rollover Sunday night on Pryor Road, five miles east of Edgar, has been identified. The Carbon County Sheriff's Office confirmed Marvilla Dawes, 63, died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

Three other people were in injured in the crash. A 58-year-old Billings man, 47-year-old Billings woman, and 47-year-old Pryor man were transported to Billings hospitals. The extend of their injuries remains unknown.

According to Montana Highway Patrol, the vehicle was traveling westbound on Pryor Road when the driver lost control after exiting left hand curve.

The vehicle rolled one and a half times, landing on its roof in a ravine on the north side of the road. At this time, it is unknown who was driving the vehicle, but police did say that no one was wearing their seatbelt, and alcohol was a factor in the accident.

MHP is investigating the crash.
