A judge in Idaho has revoked the special permits which would allow ConocoPhillips to ship four oversize loads of oil refinery equipment along U.S. Highway 12.

Three Idaho residents filed a lawsuit just last week, claiming the shipments would threaten public safety, damage tourism and pose a risk to the pristine river corridor.

The judge has ordered the Idaho Transportation Department to study the permit request again and take action to ensure the safety and convenience of the public.

ConocoPhillips plans to ship along U.S. Highway 12 through Idaho and into Montana, as well as along U.S. Highway 93 through Missoula.
