BIGFORK- Authorities say an injured hiker they've been looking for in the Jewel Basin area near Bigfork has been found.
Reporter Dax VanFossen is at the scene, and says the hiker is a male who apparently suffered a broken ankle while hiking in the Foothiils Road area, up trail #7.
There's no word yet on how, or how far, the man fell, Crews are now trying to figure out the best way to get him down to the Camp Misery area.
Authorities say a doctor who was hiking in the area found the victim and has been helping him while waiting for crews to arrive.
It's not clear yet if the man will have to be flown out of the area, so a helicopter from Red Eagle Aviation is waiting on scene.
Search and rescue crews, the Flathead County Sheriff's Department, as well as fire departments from Bigfork and Creston are all on scene.
We'll bring you more information as it becomes available.
