KALIPSELL- A Kalispell man was shot and killed Saturday night in the Empire Estates subdivision near Three Mile Drive, and another man has been detained for questioning.

Kalispell police say they received several calls to 911 about gun shots being heard at 8:40 p.m., and officers responded as another call came in saying a man had been shot.

Authorities say when they arrived they found a 40-year-old man who had been shot several times. He died shortly after being transported to the Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

A 24-year-old Kalispell man was held for questioning and an investigation into the incident is still underway.
