MISSOULA - Jason Delaney, a Polson native, beat the record of the full Missoula Marathon by 15 seconds on Sunday morning.
With a record smashing 2:26:00, the 33 year-old runner says that he still was feeling a bit "rusty" toward the end.
Delaney says that he is excited to be back in Missoula, and on an actual marathon path for the first time in several years.
It had been a while since Delaney has run a competitive race this distance, and the first time he has run Missoula's annual marathon.
Delaney was complimentary of both the Missoula weather conditions on race morning, and the support he received along the 24 mile marathon course.
