Johnson tapped as new Corvallis superintendent

CORVALLIS - The Corvallis School District didn't have to go too far to find its next superintendent as Potomac Schools principal Tim Johnson has been hired to replace Monte Silk, who is retiring.

Corvallis Board of Trustees chairman Wilbur Nisley told MTN News that the board liked Johnson's ideas and enthusiasm. Nisley added that the board believes Johnson is an up and coming administrator with a promising future.

Johnson, who was one of six finalists for the position, is pursuing his Doctorate at the University of Montana. He will start his new on job July 1.
