KALISPELL-If you are a senior and are looking to become more active and maybe find something challenging, then this may be the perfect opportunity.

A new band is being formed in Kalispell and organizers say that you don't even have to know how to play an instrument to join up.

The Flathead Valley New Horizons Band encourages seniors to come learn instruments and socialize with others as well, with Director Eileen Alexander saying that all seniors are welcome.

"Well, people think that they have to be able to play and in this band, they start from scratch. They do not have to know anything about reading music, they get to start right from the beginning. And if they missed the opportunity as a child, this is their opportunity."

If you are a senior living in the Flathead Valley and would like more information about the New Horizons Band, you can call Eileen Alexander at (406) 257.1790.
